Hints for getting a good night's sleep

At 5:12 a.m. C posted that a dry, scratchy throat is keeping her from sleeping every night. This is not good, not good at all. Here is my medical advice. 1) Tidy your room. A clutter-free abode leaves no hiding place for monsters. 2) Catch up on any outstanding correspondence using some paper out of the beautiful stationery wardrobe I assume you have. 3) Make plans to visit your father and mother. Odds are good that they are missing you. That should do it!

  1. Excellent response to Sleepless and wonderfully unexpected and original.

My thought is a Dutch gene at work: allergies must be treated to avoid nasal drip and resultant cough and dryness: I take 24-hour Claritin D (from pharmacist, with ID); nasal spray and inhaler for cough (prescription)--then no need for cough medicine. Untreated, I needed antibiotics for bronchitis--and I slept away.....Bossy Aunt R

  3. Dearest Sophie D, aka Mom. I posted at 6:12 AM prior to going for a 2 mile run with Vanessa, followed by a 7 mile bikeride with Kayli, long walk with Bagels, jaunt to froyo, an afternoon by the pool and then a 2 hr frisbee practice. I think i am officially tuckered out and will be going to bed in .5 minutes after finishing my tea with honey and lemon. Of course I will be administering your advice as well-step A is already done though! thats what I did when I could not sleep last night

  6. Cameron noted with a gasp that the blog is on California time and I somehow carelessly deleted it. California time meakes sense. The giant mysterious Googlebrain which oversees all we do has analyzed what I have written and determined I am of a California mindset (hardy har har, that's hysterical.)This is the same giant mysterious Googlebrain that woul be posting ads here if I would let it -- for narcolepsy, wedding venues and nasal spray so far.....

  8. Good gravy... THIS IS THE FORUM for YOU SophieD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok - I have a question (but how do you post a question that doesn't go under the commentary of another one? Or am I allowed to open a new topic??)

How does a 58 year old do the homework assigned to children the average age of which is 29 (and so even as a mathematician I know that in this circumstance there is no possibility that there is a cluster below 22 - which MEANS that 58 is REALLY REALLY OLD)? Oh my god - papers due on DAY 3, midterms passed out in week 2, 300 pages to read for Tuesday. ARE THEY KIDDING?? Help!!!
